Electronic Arts a anuntat ca DICE lucreaza la Battlefield Heroes, un nou joc din seria Battlefield care, spre deosebire de titlurile anterioare, va fi disponibil gratuit, costurile de dezvoltare urmand a fi amortizate atat prin publicitatea inserata in joc, cat si prin micro-tranzactiile efectuate de jucatori. Battlefield Heroes va avea o grafica tip "cartoon", asemanatoare cu cea din Team Fortress 2, si va contine un sistem ce va garanta ca meciurile vor fi disputate de jucatori de valoare egala.
Battlefield Heroes va fi lansat pentru PC, Xbox 360 si PS3 in aceasta vara.

This Monday, EA announced (http://www.actiontrip.com/rei/comments_news.phtml?id=012108_10) its all-new-play-4-free cartoon-style shooter, entitled Battlefield Heroes. That's correct, EA intends to further concentrate on its free to play business model (with ad-based revenue, naturally) and giving a cartoonish makeover to its BF franchise. Now, the latest update on the game, featured on GameStar.de (http://www.actiontrip.com/link.phtml?http://www.gamestar.de/news/pc/spiele/action/multiplayer-shooter/battlefield_heroes/1477092/battlefield_heroes.html) (it's in German), unveiled that BF Heroes is third-person only, without an option for first-person. Also, there are plans to release an open beta test this summer.
Cool enough. I imagine the entire AT staff will be "too busy" to do any updates as soon as this one comes out.

Remain true to core BF elements Announced just a couple of weeks ago, Battlefield Heroes is going to be a free PC-only online game supported by in-game advertising and microtransactions. The details of those microtransactions have not been fully detailed but one would assume that means you can buy in-game items with really small amounts of money.

Jocul asta poate sa fie mai bun decat TF2 si fara sa incerce, pentru ca TF2 este prea plictisitor. Daca treci de 10-15 ore in el, deja nu mai are rost sa te intorci. Eu m-am plictisit dupa exact 9 ore si-mi regret banii dati. Asta are sansa sa fie mai fun.

Oke', Battlefield heroes, clar inspirat din TF2 la prima vedere(si la a doua), putin mai corny din cate vad, atat ca gameplay (stai pe aripa drept gunner, it's as badass as it is retarded) dar... va fi moca. Toate ca toate suna binisor, plus ca ofera vehicule, you don't get that in tf, whoo-hah.

EA DICE's upcoming free-to-play PC shooter Battlefield Heroes has been delayed and is now expected to arrive late this year, publisher Electronic Arts announced today.

The ad-supported, web-based shooter was previously expected to launch this summer. During a conference call today, EA CEO John Riccitiello revealed that the game is now "launching at the end of the calendar year."

"We decided to increase its focus on some of the social networking features," Riccitiello noted, stressing that the studio hopes to incorporate beta tester feedback and implement new features. "The last thing we want to do is jab it in the marketplace."

Diferenta e ca BF Heroes e free iar celalalt costa 20 de euro. Eh, asa se intampla cand nu vezi dincolo de propria ... ura fata de EA.

Defapt e 10 euro nu 20. Mă irită faptul că a început EA să copieze ... dacă or să aibă succes sigur o să îl facă cu plată ... şi nici eu nu mă prea pot conecta, nu văd nici un server. Am jucat doar tutorialul...e frumos pentru un joc free dar e cam copie şi asta nu îmi place. (pe lângă faptul că urăsc EA :D ).

Atunci intră în joc sau mă rog meniul jocului şi ai să vezi categoria STORE. Acolo ai o listă de haine/arme care le cumperi pe ceva monede care le cumperi cu real money cred. Deci mai bine îl făceau ca şi TF 2 dacă tot îl copiază. Puneau un preţ de vreo 15 euro dar toţi aveau posibilităţi egale. Aşa e free dar o să vină alţii care au iteme cumpărate şi rup echilibrul.

am reusit pana la urma sa ma conectez. nu l-am mai lasat 2 ore. foarte reusit jocul si destul de complex. level 5. phun phun


Aşa e free dar o să vină alţii care au iteme cumpărate şi rup echilibrul.

nu cred ca o sa se intample asta. matchmaking-ul sorteaza jucatorii in functie de skill si experienta. cred ca o face si dupa items.

Am reuşit şi eu să mă conectez...uhm...e frumuşel jocul că doar e FREE...per total e reuşit...e încă beta mai au timp să repare unele chestii. Parcă ar fi frumos ca în loc de matchmaking să fie un sistem de browse servers.

Am observat că nu prea funcţionează 'stealthul' commando-ului...adică tot mă văd adversarii puţin mai transparent...so where's the point ?

L-am jucat o vreme in beta, wasn't impressed. Prea putine clase, prea putine harti. Dar still, Kelly e usor sa comentezi fara sa ai habar. Cu bani reali iti cumperi chestii care sunt pur stilistice gen haine and other useless shit. Armele si chestiile care au impact asupra jocului le cumperi cu puncte stranse din joc. So, not my type of cake, dar not a bad effort.
